A Little Redecorating

The beige walls, beige carpet, and beige couches in our little apartment have started to get a little boring so it has been my recent mission to come up with some decorating ideas.
I've been collecting photos of rooms, piles of DIY ideas and swatches of colors that inspire me.
A few of my favorite photos:

PS- I failed to save the links to these photos so sorry for stealing.

  1. I wanted to share this terrific tip, if you want to do something dramatic to those blank walls. If you find some material that you like, you can put it on the wall with liquid starch! I am serious!! Just wet the material, wring out as much water as possible and then put it in a sink or bucket and pour liquid starch over it. The liquid starch comes in a blue bottle, I would get 2 or 3, you can always take it back if you don't use it. you just smooth it on the wall like wallpaper. It does not hurt the wall at all, it will just peel right off. It is amazing. I have used it many times in my classroom on concrete walls. You can make an acent wall for a few dollars. Flat sheets are the best way to get lots of material for not much money, just take out all the seams, wash and don't dry, soak in starch and smooth and you have a new wall!
